Need opinions....

Well, I emailed my bridesmaids and told them to buy the dress below. They owe me...it's $59!!!! I got a complain from my FH's sister. She basically told me she's wearing a shrug. I HATE shrugs. Everyone hates their arms but it's our wedding and I hate shrugs. Should I tell her no or be nice and use my store credit at David's and buy all of the girls these red chiffon wraps? We're doing black and red and it's an evening/winter wedding. It could look nice but I can't tell if I am just trying to shut her up, use up my credit or if it would be pretty? HELP!

I think it would be pretty.... both have sheer qualities and it goes with your colors...

I must confess, however, that I empathize with those who dislike their arms, and tend to accommodate requests like that....

IMO, I would want my BM's to be as comfortable as possible and if they hate their arms and they're 'not allowed' to have something to cover up with, then they're going to be uncomfortable. I would get your all of your girls something because it's winter and like your FSIL said, she doesn't love her arms (she may not be the only one). Run into the city if you can and get a few pashminas off the street for $5... that's your best bet.

i would tell she can wear it, but not in the pics since none of the other girls will be wearing one and u want everyone to look the same.
and not to be a b1tch, but the wedding is 10 months away, she has plenty of time to tone her arms if shes that concerned with the way they look.

I am sorry for coming off as unkind and not accomodating. It's really just my frustration at my FH's sister. She's evil. And I am awful for saying that!

I have a store credit at David's that I have to use up. Getting 8 of those would be a good start.

If all the bridesmaids are wearing it that is one thing but if she is the only one wearing it I would say not during the ceremony and photos. I don't think it would be a problem during the reception.

I say it's either one or all. She will complain all day if she doesn't get her way. I figure if I give all of them the red wrap as part of their gift it could shut her up and, in turn, make my day easier!!!!

I think you should give the red wrap to everyone.
The dress and the wrap wil look so pretty together.
Let's hope your FSIL realizes this and abandons the shrug idea.

I love your dresses! and I think the red shawl would look great with them. you can always ask for a few pics with and a few pics without, and the BM's will prob not all wear them the whole night anyway....

Thanks ladies! I am trying to be the bigger person throughout all of this so I have decided that I will give everyone the red wrap. It's pretty and it fits the theme.

It will also (hopefully) shut her up. I emailed her and said that it's a secret but I am giving a wrap as part of the bridal party gift, I hope that makes her feel better, yada yada....hopefully everyone will be happy and at the same time, I will get to use up some of my store credit!

I think you should let her..

but ask her just not to wear it to the church or in the pictures because you want everone to look the same.

She can wear it throughout the party and when pictures are not taken inbetween ceremony and RH
