UPDATE: The designer from The Modern Bride got back to me and was soooooooo SWEET. She made a bunch of suggestions and was even willing to change pretty much everything! I really do love the box but just those minor changes. I will update when I get the new pics. Thanks so much for the help girls!
I just got my pic of my card box from The Modern Bride and i'm not sure I really love it.....something about the big starfish on front is just....tacky???? or am I nuts. Please be super honest, I need it. Don't just try to make me happy and say it looks nice, this thing wasn't cheap! I love u girls, thanks in advance!

The starfish doesn't bother me. I actually like it. They only thing I don't love is the tan with the polka dots.
I agree...the Tan box with the polka dots, is not going with the stripes on the other boxes...THAT I would definitely have changed.

I do love polkadots, but she was thinking of changing them to Navy?? I'm not sure how that will look. Mostly, it's the big starfish and shell at the bottom, they look like plaster of paris to me.... hmmm

i love the carbox especially the polka dots but something did look a little off though- eitherway I think it is great that they can change it up all that matters is how you feel about it - glad they are going to work with you on that

The designer said that hte color of the small box looks completely different in person...it's actually DIJON and not tan. The Dijon accent is part of my color scheme so hopefully it will look pretty. I can live with that and like I said, I LOVE POLKA DOTS. Just as long as that gaudy starfish is replaced LOL

I think it looks great! The only thing that looks a little off to me is the polka dots on the tan box. I dunno if it's the placement of them or what, but that would be the only thing I would maybe have changed. Everything else looks good to me.

I do like it- even the starfish - nautical/beachy. The polka dots on the beige box is what's throwing me. Over all it is very pretty.

Oh I do agree that the Tan pokadots are throwing me off. Maybe pink base and pokadots so it looks consistant?

They just emailed me some close-up pics of the starfish and it's actually really pretty!! It's not that blaring white as it looks in the pic, it's more of a tanner color...I really like it. I feel terrible for complaining.

You know, I didn't notice she has tan in other areas, so I guess I see why she made one of the boxes tan. I've seen polka dots and stripes together, too. Don't the mad hatter cakes sometimes have stripes and polka dots on alternating tiers? The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. And, like browneyes said, if you're having a beach theme, the starfish fits. If you're still not sure though, have her make a couple of minor changes.
