we are doing an outdoor wedding this july. originally i wanted tan summer suits, but none of the GM wanted to spend. cant blame them!

saw the tan/khaki tuxes and loved them, saw them in person and not so much. FH wanted the ivory tux and i conceded, but now i feel like they are going to look ridic and im going to spend the rest of my life looking at expensive wedding pics that i hate!

I like the khaki suit look for beach weddings, especially if they're tropical. For a more casual Hamptons/Cape Cod/Nantucket feel I think a navy jacket with khaki pants looks great. But ivory tuxes? No. I think they're tacky. To me, they look like something a high school boy wears to try to stand out at the prom.

I also agree.

If I had a beach wedding, I would have done the tan suits.

I don't think I like ivory suits/tuxes. Maybe post a pic so we can have a visual?

I am very boring and classic with my taste so I am having my guys wear black but someone else posted khaki suited groomsmen and that was very pretty, so maybe?

I agree, I think it is appropriate for outside only...even then, I prefer tan tuxes IMO.

outdoor summer or beach weddings. I prefer the standard black but I am getting married inside in November... so I think that in the right situation it could look nice.
