Need opinions, long explanation

Ok im going to attempt to explain this without confusing the poo out of everyone.

My dilemma is this, I am having cocktails then ceremony then reception. If these are sitting out lit for people to take as soon as they get to the venue then they are walking around with them during CH and ceremony. If i have them set up right after ceremony then all the guests will crowd around one table and it may get unorganized.

So i really like this idea but i don't want it to backfire and become an inconvenience or a PITA for my guest.

What do you ladies think?

Are you planning on having some kind of receiving line after the ceremony? I have seen people do this, even when having the ceremony at the hall. This would slow the line of people headed to a table where the candles would be and could possibly lessen traffic?

Sorry but what is a receiving line?

I am having the same order of events
but I am using RH's place cards so I am just putting them out in the lobby as ppl come in

I would put them out by the entrance to the reception room, this way as the doors open for the reception after the ceremony the guests on the way in will grab their place cards/ candles

when the parents and the bride and the groom stand at the exit from ceremony location and say thank u
basically what our parents (I understand ur Russian like me) do when guest come 1st to the wedding

the RH should not put them where people can take them until its time to go in after the CH.

After CH before ceremony? You don't think ppl would be annoyed having to hold something? If so it would look beautiful with the glow of the candles.

I just saw u post something about it previously thats all
plus u have same questions as I had before lmao!

I was at a wedding at ur RH on Sat and I am telling u, u should put the candles after the ceremony as ppl come into the reception. at ur location totally works!

Now im thinking maybe putting the table on the veranda outside. As im having the ceremony outside, everyone would have to go up the stairs and pass through the CH room. What do you think?
