Need opinions on father/daughter dance

Need opinions on father/daughter dance

My father passed away 2 years ago. I do not want to dance with anyone else for this dance. I was originally going to do a 'dedication' dance and invite everyone to dance but with 16 days to the wedding I am rethinking this because emotions have been high lately. I choose the song 'There You'll bE' by Faith Hill which is a really pretty but sad song.

Should I just not do a dance at all or have them play the song and just not do the announcement, or pick a less emotional song and do a dedication dance???

First of all-I am so sorry!
Its obvious that this is something that you want to do... I think that you should do the song-without the announcement. It may keep everyone in a celebration mood and may keep you upbeat while remembering him!!

me too. i think that way it makes it special for you (and FH if he knows about it) and it doesn't call attention to it, which it sounds like you don't want to do.
