I suggested to my FI that maybe we should go to LV for our honeymoon. We are trying to buy a house and pay for a wedding in the same year and I think it would be less stressful if we did a little cheaper honeymoon and later took a nicer one (6mos - 1yr). He's thinking about it, but a couple of my friends said that was a bad idea. Anyone with opinions?
i know many couples that have gone to vegas for their honeymoon and loved it. theres more than gambling. but it can cost you $$.. it gets expensive so make sure you research the best/most affordable hotel.
Any place that you and FH chose for your honeymoon can't be a bad idea. One of the great things about LV is the range in price, you can go mega-cheap or go ultra-expensive, either way I've found LV to be very fun and romantic (depending on where you stay). In fact we may stop in LV for a few days before heading to Hawaii on our honeymoon. LV is where FH and I first said I LOVE YOU...so it holds a special place in my heart.
FH and I are going to Vegas and California for our Honeymoon. I can't wait to go. I have been there before and he hasn't. There is so much to do there besides gambling. There are tons of shows, great restaurants, and plenty of sightseeing. Why did your friend say it might be a bad idea? Was is because of the gambling?
vegas was the second half of our hm and we can't wait to go back. we had so much fun and everything we did was a blast.
We went to Vegas, Sequioa, and La for our honeymoon...we had a wonderful time!!!! Your honeymoon is what you make of it!!!!
I love Las Vegas! We go every year! It can be incredibly romantic! I say go, stay at the Venetian and have a blast!
I am all for the vegas idea.. it's so fun and there is plenty do there...
We just came back from a 4-day trip to Vegas. I went with my hubby on one of his business trips, but it was fun and we had a great time. There's plenty to do besides gamble. We saw Mystere (Cirque de Soleil) and it was great. Plus there are many shops and museums and great places to eat! I'd say go for it.
I thinks Vegas is a great idea. But then again this is where I want to live...... Vegas is awesome so much todo and is fairly cheap. Let me also add that We went in March and stayed at the venetian and didnt spend that much time or money gambling. their are shows and anything u could think of in vegas to do. A great hotel to stay at is Harrahs its one the strip in the middle of everything and inexspensive ( my parents always get free rooms there.) when FI and I went we played a little at harrahs and get free room offers for the rio. Which is owned by harrahs and is an all Suite hotel. Its off the strip although it is cheaper for that reason. Good thing is that they have a shuttle that takes u from Rio to Harrahs for no charge. I am the Vegas queen. FM me. Also we flew Jet blue for 99.00 We each had our own TV it was awesome!!!!
I think that is a fine HM. My brother went there for his. He hates the beach so his options were limited and Vegas was a perfect pick for him.
There is so much to do there - gambling, sightseeing, spas, nightlife etc.etc. You can really have a good time there!
I wanted to thank all of you for your help. My FI actually told me last night that he thinks it would be a great idea. As a matter of fact he already had information on about 4-5 hotels. Rio and Harrahs being a couple of them. BTW, the reason my friends didnt like the idea because it is a honeymoon and it is a once in a lifetime event so why do it cheaper. I am sure I will be FMing some of you for information if you dont mind. Thank you again.
o ya i forgot. U must goto the grand canyon. Hoover **** is on the way. I think everyone should see the grand canyon. its amazing!
