if I want to sell something on ebay...so I need to set up another paypal account to accept credit cards?

can someone explain this to me...

you can 'upgrade' your account to accept credit card payments. That means they take a low % of all incoming $$. You don't need to do it until you get your first cc payment - Paypal will alert you.

Alternatively, you can specify in your auctions that you'll only accept paypal transactions that come from a checking account.

I have one pay-pal account that I use for selling and buying. I accept only Pay-Pal and tell people that in the auction description.

I do not want to pay to have the ability to accept credit cards.

I set up as a business owner...so I wouldn't have to pay...

but how do I put it in the auction? sorry I am such a spazz...the instructions are not easy...

As for putting it in the auction, I just type in my payment menthods. You can put in a line with the proper email address for buyers to use when paying by paypal. And I think you check off the paypal box when setting up the auction.

Don't know that there's an average - all depends on what your shipping.

Yabbo be careful with ship costs, if you charge too much you will get bad feedback later on or less bids

If it doesn't sell, I don't think there are any fees. You can repost for no additional $$.

I made about $300 selling stuff last week - its was my first selling experience. Though Al has sold a few things.

I sold: my old digital camera, an even older 35mm camera (that has been sitting in a drawer for 4+ years), the boot for my VW Cabrio top, and some unused makeup that I've had lying around (clinique, lancome, etc )

Now I'm looking around the house wondering what else I can get rid of!

I sold mostly everything from my house that I didnt need on ebay...Now I hit the garage sales and buy things in bulk to sell on ebay. I sell alot of books and cd's.....Thats what I sell mostly.

Yabbo I made $3k last year selling on ebay!
