Need Photographer Help

Well where should I start. I met with one photographer that I like alot and was giving us a pretty nice package for what I thought was a good deal. But most of all I like his pictures. Lately I have had second thoughts about booking him. He made an appointment to meet with us but because 'he got out of work early and was in the city' wanted to move the appointment to an earlier time. We were supposed to meet at 6:00 pm and he wanted to now meet at 3:00. It made me feel like this is not his primary job and he was just trying to fit us in to his schedule. He was referred to me by a prospective DJ. I decided not to book with the DJ who referred the Photographer, but when he called me and I told him I was going with another DJ company, he gave me a little attitude and kinda grilled me about my plans with the photographer. The photographer gave me a website to check out 'his' work, but there is no mention of his name on anything on the website. I just have a terrible fear of booking with this guy who seemed so nice and personable with beautiful pictures and then he doesn't show up for my wedding...and I end up in jail for murder. AHHH!
Just when I thought I was getting things checked off my list. Does anyone have any suggestions for an affordable yet good photographer?

We met with a few photographers and the one that we're using is honestly the best and most affordable that we can find - it's Tony Ferrari Studios in Howard Beach.

I can also recommend Franklin Square Photographers in Franklin Square but they are a bit on the pricey side.

Check out Photography by Christos , he's an independent photographer who lives in Queens (but travels where-ever you need him to be).

He's done LOTS of weddings, and I like not only his work but also his customer service...he definitely won't flake on you!! His blog has a lot of pictures from recent events that he's covered.
