Okay so I am still looking for potential photographers (this should be my last vendor!!)....even though I do have one in mind (Amanda Picone)...I still wanted to look around.
Since everyone raved about Duet, I called them and they were booked for my date.
That being said....Please suggest your photographers. I am looking for a mix of traditional and journalistic and only basic packages. I am looking for in the range of about no more than $2K.
TIA

I would look into Twelfth night, I have heard good things about them, and their basic package, just photos, should be around that range

Re: Need Photographer help....
To be quote honest, I am looking to find a package that is for budget brides like myself. I don't necessarily need to get all the albums etc right now. But if I can find a good photographer with a basic package that might include some things that would be fine.
I just want to be able to compare them to what Amanda Picone is offering me. That way I can weigh in on who is giving me more for my $$$.
For example I have listed below what Amanda Picone is offering. For pictures only, she starts at $1100. Her other basic packages are listed below:
The Very Basics Package is $1,550 and includes: -8 hours coverage -DVD of all images in high resolution format, with rights to print as needed -Complimentary Hardcover 'Coffee Table' magazine-style album
The Standard package is $1,600 and includes: -*8 hours coverage (extended coverage can be arranged at an additional cost) -a DVD of 4x6 proofs (images printable to 4x6') edited as needed, of all images (not just my 300 favorites!) -*in-person pre-wedding and album design consultation -*online hosting with ordering capabilities on a password protected site -*1 enlargement up to 20'x30' (your choice of photo) -*100 flat (one-sided) thank you cards, or 100 wallet sized photos (your choice of photo) -$150 print credit toward your album order)

I haven't looked yet but I know I will be looking at Silverfox (highly recommended by my friend who does a lot in the wedding industry) and Park Aveune Studios. People at my school have used both and everyone was happy with their pictures

Re: Need Photographer help....
I am afraid my photographer might not have anything in your price range, but my cousin is using Right Angle and they got their e-pics done and they came out great, I think they might have something in your price range.
