My fiance and I are looking for a photographer for our June wedding. We've interviewed several, but are having a lot of trouble finding someone within our price rance but also experienced.
Our families may take some wrangling, so we need someone who's experienced and authoritative, able to direct everyone during the portrait sessions. My fiance and I won't be seeing each other before the wedding, so we need someone who can get through portraits efficiently during cocktail hour. What we're most interested in are candid photos, however.
We need to keep the photography around $4000 (including 10 hours of photography and albums). Any suggestions??

You should contact duet! You can even get pricing before you sit down with them. duetweddings.com i believe is their web site. They are so professional. I am using Alberto. We did an engagement shoot with him and my pictures came out amazing! My whole family uses them and my FH family uses them too! check them out :)

You can definitely find someone for under $4000. We're using Liz from White Pear Photography and there are a few different packages to choose from starting below $4000.
Edited just to add we have already done our engagement pictures and Liz came highly recommended by a few friends of mine.

we are using Pstken, love them! their most common package is 2300 and that includes alot of stuff, we met with Jenn and she threw in a ton of extras also
