***UPDATE 11/30 630pm****

My SIL Amy is in the USA Finally. Her plane landed, she's on her way home! Wooo Hooo finally we can breathe a sigh of complete relief.

What a rough couple of days!

Thank you to EVERYONE who said a prayer, Fm'd me, asked about her, worried about us, etc.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....

Wooo Hooo she's home.

My SIL is in India right now and her hotel was attacked. We heard from her a short while ago BUT she is locked in a room in her hotel.

Please pray she is okay and gets out of there okay.

AMY IS OUT OF THE HOTEL....WOOO HOOOO
She is in another hotel under heavy security being debriefed. We won't think she'll able to come home until her original time on Sunday but
SHE'S OUT!!!!!







******Update 11/27 11:30pm*****Just got home.

Again, ladies...I can't tell you how grateful we are for your thoughts and prayers. It's been a long two days. At about 9pm tonight DH got a call from his niece who said she had just heard from her Mom. She was alive BUT still locked in the hotel room and they do have a little food but no water. The good news is the Embassy did get in touch with the woman Amy is traveling with and told them to sit tight and they would hopefully get to them.

While Amy is obviously still in danger as there is still a terrorist (if not more than one) in her hotel, we felt a little better that she was still alive after the mention of all the fires.

Keep up your prayers please. We are mentally and physically exhausted.



******Update 11/27 930am****
Firstly thank you all for all of your prayers. My internet was out since 10pm last night.

DH's sister Amy, was able to call her daughter at 3am our time from her roommates cell (she doesn't have a cell) and said that they were still locked in their room but there were people banging on their doors etc. She said that some in her traveling group were killed but that's all her daughter got from her.

I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to sit here and basicaly get no new news. According to CNN their is now a fire in the Oberoi.

This just s*cks. I'm trying not to be all negative but this is some first married thanksgiving.

Ladies...I can't tell you how much I appreciate your concern and prayers. my SIL definitely needs it. We haven't heard anything from her since 3am and that was before the fires.

we are going to go to my cousins house to be around family today...We will keep our eye on the news and have our cell phones out and on which normally I would never do at a family dinner.

Be grateful for what you have today!

hey ang, i just got online. Amy has been in our thoughts and prayers all day - i even mentioned her during our Grace today. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and Richie.

I just got home and I wanted to see if there was any news. DH and I are watching it on the news and I was telling him all about it! We are thinking of you and your family and Amy's safety!

I am glad you have heard something from her. I hope she gets out ok. Its funny we've never met or talked but I have been so worried for you I turn to the news every half hour to see what they are saying. Thinking about you.

I do not know if you heard from her this morning yet - but I think this is very good news!!!!!!!!!

I have seen that about the Taj. But, in respect to that - I've heard that the gunfire was over, not that it's been evacuated -- but I just may not have heard it. The article I just read on Yahoo said that the oberai has been emptied out. I hope it's all true and I hope you hear from her very soon!!!! Maybe you can call the embassy again??

I hope this means we can do lots of celebrating tonight
