My fiance's grandfather is coming to town tomorrow from Georgia...he has always wanted to see Long Island. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can do tomorrow? He loves beautiful scenery, but doesn't like to be cold so we really can't do a lot of walking around. I was thinking maybe Port Jefferson?? Any other ideas? Thanks so much!!!

I believe the apple festival is in Sayville tomorrow, that might be fun, but may be too much walking.
You can look into a Duck's game. If they're playing, tickets are super cheap and it's a great time.
It's also a great time of year to just drive out to Wading river and stop at some farm stands for apples and veggies.
or a Haunted house, no i'm just kidding, that's probably not for grandpa

No.. and I actually was on Newsday.com today at work...
I avoid haunted houses... I'm practically afraid of my own shadow... I live with my fiance and I still make him sleep w/ the bedroom door open 'just in case', lol

If I had guests from out of town, even though it's cold, I would go for a ride down to the beach, maybe Montauk? That's kind of far though. The wineries is always fun.

if he's here for the weekend there's the HUGE oyster festival out in oyster bay.... its pretty much just a HUGE street fair & fall festival. they do it every year...it's great :) suffolk county i would go for port jeff or out east....Good luck & have fun :)

id say go out east...the vinyards,apple picking,pumpkin picking. Go to Port Jeff get some dinner....you can make a nice day of it!
