ok i am very picky when it comes to my hair. i am trying to find somebody new that gives great highlights and cuts good in nassau. preferrable in new hyde park/floral park/mineola area. . don't need necessary just for the wedding. got tired of having to book 3 weeks in advance for old hairdresser AND she kept literally burning my scalp when blowing out my hair.. i know its no picnic blowing your hair straight, but i can take pain and i was literally in tears.!

I've never been there myself, but I've heard great things about Maximus Salon. My SIL used to go there until she moved out on the island from Port Washington. They're in Westbury which isn't too far from New Hyde Park.

DeFranco Spagnolo In Great Neck is awesome. Lori or Nicole does great Color, PJ is a fantastic cutter and does phenominal Blowouts and updo's!!! FM me if you want the address and number.

Kerry at Anthony DeFrance Salon in Huntington is my stylist, & she's wonderful. Melissa is my colorist and she's absolutely the best colorist I've ever come across! They really are wonderful!!!

When I used to live in Nassau I went to a place called Hairsay..I think it is considered garden city park (its on jericho). They were an aveda salon and they were great! If you called they could prob recommend someone to you.

I go to Angelo and Company in Williston Park. Maria is my stylist...has been for over 20 years-she is the absolute best!! My colorist is the owner of the salon, Angelo!! He is sooo good and they're reasonably priced!!!
