need registry advice

need registry advice

I decided to count up the # of unpurchased registry items in each price range (procrastination will make you do crazy things!) ... do I have a good spread of items in each price range? do I need to add more cheap things?

BBB = bedbath, C&B = crate&barrel, M = macys
all BBB amounts are full price, not with 20% off

I'm assuming I will probably have 2 small showers, and our OOT guests will probably want to give gifts not cash.

thoughts? (the far right column is total)

Hmmm looks good. I wouldnt add cheap things...because then people will choose those over the expensive ones. Or thats just me being bratty!!!! HAHAHLOL!

I think if they go for the less expensive ones they'd buy more than one item from that category.

Just my opinion though.

It looks like you have a good mix.

Try to think of the number of people you have coming that will purchase the more expensive items and make sure you have enough for them to buy.

i really dont know what people are going to spend.... i guess i'll have to registry stalk and if bigs things disappear we can add another (like finally decide on a down comforter, or add another bedding set)

Most of the small things at C&B are napkins (we registered for 12 each of designs) or glassware (another set of 12 listed individually) and a lot of the cheaper things at BBB are kitchen accessories so I'm assuming people would combine them at least somewhat, but however many they choose

I would leave it as is. When I get something off a registry I usually go within a budget I would like to spend and from there I get creative with my gift.
So sometimes I buy one big gift and add the smaller to the decor of a basket if that's how I am wrapping it or I add it to the wishing well.
Don't know if that helps, but u love making baskets as gifts and putting it together as a theme so I like when there is a variety to choose from. Today I went to my cousins shower and I had a towel cake done for her and I just wrapped the rest of her set of towels and added a variet of shower gels from Bath and Body Works to her wishing well because she didn't have many options to choose from.

My honest and best advice is to put on ONLY WHAT YOU NEED regardless of price - i got a lot of crazy expensive things that i didnt need - and some cheap things I didnt need - and some expensive things that I REALLY need.

Put on what u need and try not to look at price so much. For instance - we use our waffle iron alot. We didnt need the 80 dollar big supreme one, but the 20 dollar one is just fine. See what youll really use and get use out of. I got an expensive food processor - which ive used 2x this week. I like to cook so im glad i got them. I didnt need the 90 dollar toaster that no one bought me - fh and i got a 20 dollar one and were happy!

I think that's really good advice. We got an expensive toaster oven which I use at least 5x a week (my grandma bought it for us as part of our engagement gift) but we registered for the $19.99 electric knife instead of the $50 one because 1) i liked the way it looked better, 2) how often are you really going to use an electric knife?

we did put on a dyson.... our current vaccuum has broken 3x in less than 2 years, and I shed A LOT. We also have 2 cats... I am really hoping that thing works.

the 2 things I want most of all out of anything on our registry is our dyson and our pots/pans (ranging from $399 for a 13 pc set to individual pieces as cheap as $19.99 and $29.99). We currently have a scratched up Teflon set and I'm scared to be using it after reading about the health risks
