Hi girls. My sister and I are looking for a place to have our parents surprise 50th birthday party. We need to have a dj and some sort of dance floor. We are looking at about 45 people. Can anyone recommend a place that they think is good and not to expensive. Under $20 per person would be great if that is possible. It doesnt have to be fancy, just need to have a small dance area. Thanks.
How about a knights of columbus type hall. It is not a resturant but there are some nice ones. You can also pick your own caterer. It is usually less money than a resturant and they had dance floors. We had my engagement party at one. We had the best DJ and the food was great. People were calling us for days telling us what a great time they had. I also went to an anniversary party at one in Bellmore last year. It wasn't as nice as the one where my mom had our engagement party but it was ok and the dance floor was very big.
TGIF (Djs) have place on Portion Rd (I think). It is a cute room, with a nice dance floor. My parents had some of my sisters' Sweet Sixteens there. It was great. We had a dance floor with tables around it and there is another room attached with some more tables. We would bring the food and drink ourselves and set it up in that room. I don't know how much it cost, but it is probably worth looking into, becuase my mom is the biggest bargain shopper!

It starts at 27$ pp..that includes hot and cold antipasta, choice of pasta (defeltto sp? or Ala vodka) entree (veal chicken or fish) cofee, soda, wine.. then there are other menus depending.. she gives you soooo much hot antipasta by the time dinner comes you can hardly eat your entree... she has a VERY big room to accom. guests dj and dancing...
