Need restaurant recommendation in Garden City/NHP

I'm teaching a course for adults returning to college at Adelphi U. in Garden City, and we want to go out for dinner on our last class.

Can anyone recommend a place that's not too fancy nor too expensive in Garden City/New Hyde Park? I don't want to have to drive more than 15-20 minutes from Adelphi's campus to get there (we'll lose people along the way).

I haven't been in a long time, but how about the Lucky Duck. It's right up the road.

i luv vincents in carle place (very close to GC).

Mmm love Grimaldi's!!!!

I'd also recommend The St. James, which is technically Mineola, but it's so on the border of GC, and it's really not that far from Adelphi. And then there's Leo's which is in GC which is pretty good.

Leo's and The St. James are restaurants/bars, so they're not really expensive. Grimaldi's is a brick oven pizza place.
