Puleo's on 45th b/t Broadway and 8th has nice Italian food...

Barrymore's, also on 45th between B'way and 8th is good too -- bar type food -- burgers and such...

There's also Starstruck Diner on 8th between 45th and 46th -- they have more than the standard diner fare -- lots of pastas, wraps and specials.

Do you like chinese food? There's Ollies on 44th & Broadway, quick (not cheap cheap but reasonable). If you go to Virgil's try & get a reservation, it can get crowded sometimes, but I agree with ss2002 they're very good too.

If you like Cuban food there is a FABULOUS Cuban place called 'Victors Cafe' and it's on 52nd btwn 7th & 8th

Thanks for all the recommendations - I got last minute tickets to Thoroughly Modern Millie, but can't get to the area till 6.30

I've been to Victors and Simply Pasta and Ollies - but I think its going to be Simply Pasta or Ollies

Hamburger Harry's is cute (Mid 40's between 6th and Broadway). Pretty quick for a sit down dinner and inexpensive!
There's also, Ollies (nice sit down chinese) right on 43rd between 7th and 8th. They are pretty inexpensive too!
