Need serious advice - kind of long, sorry

Need serious advice - kind of long, sorry

Please don't quote. . .

Last week FH and I went band shopping and I found a band I really liked. It’s a really ornate Tacori eternity band. The woman who helped us was kind of rude and not really eager to help us – like she barely wanted to let us look at Tacori because they are so expensive. So, I try this ring, and say I really like it. She looks down at the price tag and tells us its platinum, but that it must be mis-marked, so she goes and checks. My e-ring is 18k white gold and I wanted the band to match, so, she says in white gold the band would be almost $5K – way beyond what we had “budgeted” for bands. However, the platinum band I tried was on consignment to the jeweler for $2400. . . . much more reasonable, still more than we wanted to spend, but whatever.

I really love this ring and it’s a STEAL at this price, because in platinum it would normally be like $6K+, but I’ve been on the fence this whole time about an eternity band because there is a chance it won’t always fit me! I can’t see spending any amount of money on a wedding band that may not always fit. But this ring is AMAZING. Any advice? What would you do? I have to kind of act fast because this ring will totally sell soon . . . it's also my size, btw.

hmm - if it's more than you wanted to spend, maybe go to the diamond district and see if you can get it for cheaper?

i know sometimes the 'brand names' are more expensive (tiffany, tacori)?

I say go for it! If you love it and it's HALF the price of the other one, it's a GO!
Even if it won't always fit you, you'll always HAVE it and one day, maybe you'll give it to one of your kids?
It will also match the ering for the most part, only a slight difference if any i think.

I think you'll regret it if you pass on it.

Good Luck!

AND it's a brand new ring!! The person who ordered it wanted to cancel their order, but it was too late, so its never been worn. I am so indecisiveeeeeeeee.
