need serious help!

I have so many questions I feel a bit overwhelmed...

I will be meeting with a bunch of different vendors in the coming weeks and months and have NO CLUE where to start. I don't want to go into these places letting a florist tell me $6000.00 and me think that is OK. What is the norm?

- Florists, what do you go to an appointment asking them? I know you obviously have to have a vision of what you want but I have no idea how much all the flowers you will need for a wedding go for! What is a good place to set my budget at? and what kind of questions do I ask a florist?

- Photographers/Videographers ? DUH where do I start? Another thing I have no idea for a budget!

- Limo company? no budget here either!

- Invitations... nope no budget

As much info as you ladies can give me on this would be SO helpful. I am making myself crazy trying to think of everything you could possible ask and none of it makes sense to me!

I know how you feel. I know how much is too much for me but my idea of what should be norm and the vendors idea Im sure are way off from each other. I never comprised a budget. Im sure though that you will find plenty of help on here. Good Luck

I don't have a budget made up either. I can't even see making a budget if you have no idea what things cost.

First .. take a deep breath!

As far as the florist, what I did was type out a list of everything I needed from him (how man bo-ks, bouts .. coursages for family members and readers ... pew bows .. centerpieces) and handed it to him, he said it made things easier. I told him I had a limit to centerpieces and told him to show me what he could do for it. He'll guide you through things, no worries .. but try and go in there with some sort of list of what you need for who, and also know what you like ... by the way .. I recommend Flower Barn highly!!

As for photo/video ... so many different places offer different packages. Some are 'photojournalistic' which seems to be very popular now. Search for recommendations on here .. I can vouch for 12th Night (photo) Duet (photo) and Mittermax (video).

Limo companies are the same .. you want to go with someone who has a larger fleet God forbid your car breaks down right before the wedding. you can really shop around with this .. and you have plenty of time to get a great deal!

As far as DJ .. if you haven't seen Bravura yet .. do so! bravuraentertainment.com They are amazing and so great to work with. They make things so easy for their brides.
