So this is my dilema.. I am moving to Chicago after the wedding which is Sept 17th. My parents are old fashioned and I cant move in with my FH until I am married. I need to interview and find a job, try to maintain my current job, move my stuff and finish planning the wedding all in August.
Do you think that I should quit in the middle of August so I have time do all this stuff?
Or quit like after Labor day and try to find a job after I am moved in and married?
What should I do!!!

quit after and move without a job. You are gonna be way too stressed to look for a job b4 the wedding. Plus what if they string along the interview process and want you to come back for additional interviews right before the wedding or while you are on your honeymoon. You will stress yourself 100x more if you think you might lose a potential job offer due to time factors.

Re: Need some advice
I think it would be alot less stressful if you would quit and find a job after you have moved and gotten married. That's way to much to take on at one time!!! You will then have all the wedding stuff out of the way and be able to focus more on intervieiwing and finding the right job.

Re: Need some advice
that's very true. for some reason i think it's best not to interview around big life events, weddings, pregnancies etc. you should be stress free for wedding planning!

Quit as soon as you can afford to because september is high times for people looking for jobs. Kids graduate college, etc

Re: Need some advice
In all honesty, I am not a believer in quitting a job before finding another one. I would try to schedule as many interview as possible and take a trip to Chicago just for those interview and line something up for after the wedding.
Honesty is the best policy, and you should have no problems.
Good Luck!

I think it depends on your financial situation... can you afford to not work while you transition move and find a job? If so great less stress for you. You should start looking for opportunities in the area so you have an idea when you get there.
