Need some advice!

Need some advice!

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that 2 of mine and FH's (former) friends stopped speaking to us because we did not ask them to be in the Bridal Party. Additionally, when FH's Grandfather passed away, they didn't have the decency to say sorry to FH. And I know they know, because they are facebook hounds and always up in everyones' business.

Unfortunately, tonight we are going to a mutual friend's birthday party, and these 2 will be there. It's not going to be a big thing, so avoiding them isn't possible. I don't want to make the 'birthday boy' upset and cause drama, but I also do not want to speak to them. What do you all think is my best approach?

My plan is to just not say hello or to speak to them. If they come say hello to me, I plan to either put my hand out and say 'no' or to give them a 'look' as I greet them. What do you think is the best idea here? I don't want to cause ANY drama, but they have done a LOT of bad things and I refuse to act like everything is OK.

Honestly, I say if they say hello, say hello back and just turn around and walk away. No need to make a scene or be nasty, since it is someone's bday and you don't want to ruin it for him. But let them be the ones to come to you and if they do, be courteous and then just remove yourself from the situation.

be the bigger person and just be cordial to them. It never helps to be nasty to people.

I would just say hello but dont get into a convo. NOt saying hello back is just looking for drama.

I agree with the other ladies...just say hello. No need to engage in conversation past that. There's a lot to be said about keeping your cool and being civil in these sticky situations.

You don't have to speak to them if you don't want to but if they say hello I would just say hi back and then walk the other way.

say hello back. no matter what they did/didnt to u, u should still act like a human lol alway sbe the better person.

and do NOT.. i repeat DO NOT talk about any1 negatively at the bday party.. even if ur talking with ur fh. People sense tension no matter what u do.. so just go to the party with positive thoughts. remember, tonight is not about u,fh or your wedding. its about celebrating a friends bday. and do just that, celebrate with your friend.

Very true about the tension thing... just try to make sure the person whose birthday it is able to enjoy their night without worrying about anyone not getting along...
