Need some advice: photo dilema...

any advice would be great girls!!

so as most of you know I suffer with chronic migraines...

now i my 'triggers' are mainly outdoors...the sun, the heat and overall brightness outside (even if its not sunny)...i ALWAYS have sunglasses on...ALWAYS...even in the rain and the snow bec it is really bright!

if i step out side without them...instant migraine....

every pic of my and the fh outside, on vacation...my sunglasses are on...

of course...i want our e-pics and some wedding pics outside....we picked the fall bec of the non-heat and goregous trees and flowers...

i cant possibly take all pictures with my sun glasses on..thats going to look HORRIBLE...

our recpetion is at 4...thinking the ceremony will be at one...i really cant avoid it..and i cant not take pics till sundown....

so who reccomends what????

i cant even believe i havent thought of this already...

thanks girls!

i have meds i take daily to prevent and then meds if i feel a migrane coming on...but there is no saying that they always work...if a full force migraine is comig on then there is nothing i can do...and i REALLY dont want to chance it.....

i wonder...do photgs have something that can blcok out the brightness but yet still get the beauty of the background???

Do you wear contacts? Some contacts have UV protection; maybe the UV rays are a migraine trigger?

I'd definitely talk to a doctor and/or eye doctor...and if they offer a prescription, make sure you try it out before your wedding day in case there's any weird side effects!

this may be a dumb question....i only wear glasses for in school and at night driving..distance...but i dont need them on a daily basis...

do they have something like this -contacts to blcok UV rays- with no rx in them??

Yes, there are contacts like that out there, but they may be hard to find and some doctors may not want to prescribe them...
They are called plano lenses and should come in each brand available for purchase...Even if you cant get a plano a -0.25 should be find and you wont notice any difference in vision bc of a quarter diopter...

have you booked your photographer yet? if not, maybe when researching them, bring this up, its very possible that they might be able to do something to help with sunlight or have had this type of situation before.

good luck!

Re: Need some advice: photo dilema...

i have a similar problem. only its that FH & I where in a car accident & i was beat up by the air bag so i have permanent damage in one eye & i have to wear sunglasses or transitions lenses at all times otherwise i get a migraine with an aura. & i don't want an aura on my wedding day. (thats when your eye gets these flashes in it & you can't see out of it).

so my plan is like every other time i am outdoors. wear my contacts with my dark sunglasses, take them off for a quick photo & stick them right back on. did this during my friends outdoor wedding & it worked like a charm.

I'm sure your photog could do something about this. There must be actors and such who have similiar problems.

Honestly, I'm picturing someone on a ladder, out of the frame of your picture, holding some sort of thing over your head (also out of the frame, but from above) so that the sunlight is blocked.

That sounds crazy, but hey maybe right?

Also, get your bridal party and FH some sunglasses and take a few with everyone wearing them.. I did a few for my e-shoot without thinking about it b/c I have transition lenses.

Re: Need some advice: photo dilema...

Maybe try taking Excedrine Migraine before you go outside (don't know if you can take that with the other meds though)..my friend has really horrible migraines and it works for her. HTH
