NEED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT
It will all work out, regardless of all the things gong on. It's so easy to get carried away. I agree about getting your FI on some duties. Make a list of all the things that need to be done and assign away. Get in touch with the people who shipped the dress. Your bridal shop may have screwed up and are trying to cover up. A bridal gown being stuck in customs in the US is a little odd, considering all the bridal gowns that probably come into this country. If all else fails with the dress, consider going to David's, you can at least walk out with a dress, or try the Bridal Garden in NYC, they have designer gowns at discount prices. You may find something there. As for being fired, not to add to you plate, but is that legal? After the honeymoon, I would find out, cause I don't think you can get fired for marrying someone you work for. (Unless you're in the armed forces or something, I think) You live in a free country and can marry whomever you want.
I can't pretend to know how you feel right now, but keep in mind that it is only one day. Things have a way of always working out. Hang in there and feel free to vent.
I am a bit nervous about approaching the rev/rabbi on this subject because I don't want them to get upset/or ask me why I don't want to use them. And with only 3 months left, I don't want them to say they can't do it because blah, blah, blah....
