FH and I have NO IDEA where to go for our honeymoon. He already said no to Hawaii (too far), Italy (too expensive and we don't have enough time), Fiji and Tahiti are out for the same reason as Italy), and he said no Mexico (not sure why but whatever) Sooooo, that leaves us with the caribbean. Now being that his dad works for American Airlines - he's pretty much flown to EVERY caribbean island almost. I on the otherhand have not since my family doesn' t fly. So far we've already been to Dominican Repulic, Bahamas, and St. Thomas together. Anyone have any other suggestions? We were thinking of Aruba, St. Lucia, Antigua, and possibly Barbados. He wants an all inclusive place and I don't want it to be too expensive (maybe around $2000?) Sorry so long - but I need some ideas desperately!

Aruba! We were there twice in one year. Everyone we met down there, says it is the best island in the Caribbean. It is so safe that you can walk around there without feeling like you are going to DIE! The beaches are wonderful. Food amazing. People are delightful. If you want pics I will FM you some.

Bermuda is absolutely amazing; it's close, and so different from the Carribean. The sand is pink!! I love Bermuda (I've been there quite a few times) and would definitely recommend it for a Honeymoon

Sorry, I just wouldnt give any money to a government that covered up the murder of an american teenager - JMO

I totally understand what you are saying but....... Then we would not be able to go anywhere in the world and that would be a sin. This was one of the most publicized deaths which is kinda of unfair because there are ton. Every place has a scandal including Hawaii, Jamaica, Costa Rica, etc. Look at the Royal Caribean scandal.. Then that means that none of us are going to go on Royal Caribean. That's a diservice to us all. I saw a special on 20/20 about how all these honeymoon places cover them up because they don't want to deter tourism. I have to say I was down there two months after the incident and I don't think it is fair to punish the Aruban people for someone who was not even a full blooded citizen of their country. By punishing the government then you punish the innocent people. They were amazing and were so involved while we were there. Even the mother (Beth Twitty) said that on national television. The people of aruba took off of work to search for her. How many places do that? If we had that attitude (of restricting) then know one would come to NYC and look what that would do to tourism. We have scandals too. I respect your opinion but I also wanted to share mine.

My co-worker went to St. Lucia for her HM in July and said it was awsome!! I believe it was an all-inclusive. Not sure what hotel. FM me if you want me to get more info from her.
