Need some help

Ok this week I have ATTEMPTED, which is the keyword lol to do some DIY projects for my e-party. I went to Michaels and bought the menu cards they have but it doesnt come out well bc its not big enough and the letters have to be sooo small to fit everything, so now i want to do something completely different. I love the menus Enjft posted not too long ago, with the two colored papers and the ribbon in the back.

I will post a picture of the front paper design i want to use, and then i want to buy chocolate brown card stock to put behind it, if i can find any bc i am having no lucking finding it.

Ok here are my questions: Does anyone know of any good paper stores that i can personally go to, i want to see everything myself and dont have enough time to order from some places. Here are a few places I found online: Cranes, Paper products, katie's paperie, and Sam Flax, they're all in the city...If anyone has been to any of these and can recommend something or a different place.

Also what did you use to stick the two papers together, should i use a glue gun? And what printer is best for this, bc i am going tomorrow to buy a new printer.

I also need a printer that is good for printing pictures bc for table numbers i want to use photo paper to print pics of movies and then put velum paper on top of it with the table number. Also am thinking of putting velum on candles with our names and the date

So any tips for these things and suggestions on great paper stores i can go to would be greatly appreciated...Sorry i made this long

Here are pics of my ideas: the menu i will do with pink border though and put this on top of brown stock paper

Ive only been to kates paperie.

they have a nice selection.

and about attaching the papers to eachother...
since its a cardstock, maybe you can use a glue stick. or maybe double sided tape to make the pieces stick together.

You can try Kate's, they have good paper but it's very expensive, you can get the same stuff online for much cheaper. But I know what you mean, it's good to see and feel the paper yourself. Anyway, when I did my STD's, I used vellum, which was a pain in the a&& as anything like glue or tape shows through. I ended up using spray adhesive, which worked well. You might try that, just do it outside, not easy in the winter, or in a well-ventilated place with a dropcloth or something on the floor. Hold the paper out from you with a tweezers or something similar, and spray. You'll get the hang of it. Or I've heard that tape guns with double-sided tape are great for this kind of thing. After doing the STDs, I'm trying to avoid sticking paper to paper in the future!
