Need some help!!!

So FH got hurt at work on Tuesday.....
He IS on the books....
Well we went to the hand surgeon today and they want him out of work for 4-6 weeks..... Otherwise he WILL get a worse infection and do even more damage to his finger....
Which is pretty gross looking right now!

Well... He calls his boss to explain what the DR says and his boss is like 'what are you a wuss or a man? You can bandage it up and come to work'
Im PISSED!!!
He really cant any chances with his finger and at the same time we cant afford for him to be out of work that long at all! Otherwise, there wont be a wedding....
Now with worker's comp. I know he will get paid, but that can take a while to go through.... And his boss doesnt want to go through it for the medical bills but doesnt want to pay him either....
Does anyone know how this works.... His boss wants to forget about workman's comp and pay out of pocket and basically screw FH.. Im ready to KILL his boss!!!
I hate that man!!!
Anyways.... If anyone is able to give me a little insight on how this is supposed to work, Id appreciate it so much!!!

BTW I took pictures of his finger... Ill post them in my album... I dont want to post them on here cos they are a little gross!

He got hurt on the job........he must go on NYS Workers Comp. God forbid this is an on going problem...it would cost you tons of money down the line. Make sure that his doctor knows it happened on the job...once that happens they have to run it through the boss' insurance company and doesn't hold FH responsible for any costs. If his boss is giving him sh!t...get it all documented. If he works under a union, go to the union rep. Otherwise call OSHA and let them know he got hurt on thr job and that he feels that possibly the conditions aren't safe. It aggrivates the hell out of me when bosses pull this. If they fire him...it's law suit central. And you don't have to pay the lawyer until they reach a settlement. Hope some of this helps. And I hope FH feels better!!!

Yea his boss already got the papers from worker's comp but he saying its cheaper for him if he doesnt go through it and just pays out of pocket... but basically screws FH...
Im so livid with what his boss said... Im seriously ready to go down to his job tomorrow and kill him!

From what I know this is correct. If you are hurt on the job and it was known immediately that he was then by law they have to pay him workers comp while he is out. I know that there is a max time that he can be out but, it is longer then 6 weeks.
He needs to have DR. notes for everything and document all the conversations that he has with his boss.
