Any info on prices to have a house built on a lot that we have already in Nassau? Is it cheaper to build a new home or buy one if we have property to build on already? Not anything huge, maybe 3 BR. Thanks!

In Bethpage. Thanks so much!!! I have NO idea where to look or if we can afford it. His mom owns the property and is giving it to us so if we can afford to build something we will.

I ti sidefinitly cheaper to build a home, on land you won then to buy one.
We bought the propoerty for our house, from our inlaws, for the fmv, and built a 2 story house on it, and if we were to sell it rightn now, we could make about a 75,000 profit maybe even more, with some of the prices I have seen.
Thanks! I want a 2 story 3 BR. Around $200,000-$250,000 is enough?

I built a house for 1800 livable sq feet, witha 2 car garage, basement entrance, porch on front, open foyer to upstairs,(which is not included in th sq footage), for 185,000. This was just for the house. We have upgraded on some things though, and this does not include appliances, or the permit fees, which came to about 12,000, since we had to pay for curbage,a dn sidewalks, even thoug we didn't get them (Town of Islip BS).
Thanks for the info. We are probably gonna do it so I might FM you w/ some questions when we start if you dont mind. I have no idea about any of this.

If you have contractors in the family or even friends and they are willing to work with you on price... I say go for it. Bethpage is a great area, school district, etc. One thing I will say, make sure your contractors know the ins and outs of the Town of Oyster Bay, their building permit department s*cks the big one. I cannot tell you just how many issues my family has had with them.

Hi! Could you email me pics of your house? It sounds similar to what we want to build.[email protected]!
