Need some help with a decision!

OK. So FH and I met with Velvet Studios yesterday.

FH was very impressed as was I. We loved how he stayed within the budget that we set and we love what he offered. Now FH doesn't feel we need the brag book (the little replica of the actual wedding album). I like the idea. But I would sacrifice getting that book and say I want a different video service then. I liked Velvet's video. However, when I saw Wild Rose on this site I fell in love with their video.

Therefore, if we went with Velvet we would do Wild Rose for video.

I still want to check out Golden Moments cause I love both of their Photo and Video. And maybe check out Thomas Paul. I just want to know who saw Thomas Paul's video and what did you think.

I love everything about Golden Moments I just don't feel we are going to get everything we want for our budget.

Oh our budget is $6000 and under- preferably $5500

I guess this was more of a rant then anything haha but what good advice do you all have. Is it worth checkin the other places and getting a good amount of stuff for under my budget???

Oh i guess i should add...one thing i wanted with video and this is why i didnt want to go with velvet for video was because i want film coverage at my house before hte church of us getting ready...

so does GM or TP offer that option??

ETA!: We booked velvet for photo and video and we are only paying 4200. but i do want to add the edited version of the dvd so that will be 4700.. still lower than your budget.

I guess I took it wrong then when he said it. I thought he said the photographers come to the house but the videographers set up at the church and start filming there??

idk i guess i should ask him huh haha

yeah we really only want the 11x11 book with about 100 pics (maybe decide to add some later)

2 parent albums with 24 pics in each
1 16x 20 wall pic for FH and I

i figured thank you's we can do ourselves as well as making 8x 10 copies of pics for our parents...to cut the price down

and I want the brag book but I think it is too much money as well...we will see haha

he qouted us with video 5795$ but i think we want to lower the price by cutting out the thank yous, the 8x10s and the brag book

It really depends, I made sure to check out a lot of photographers before I actually booked. I didn't want to book the first one I saw and then regret it. I say keep searching

yeah thats why i want to keep looking. i think fh is tired from looking at halls last week and would just book the first photo/video haha

he is a pain!

What we did was took out the Parent albums. Our parents dont care if we make them on shutterfly or one of those services, so thats what they are getting. Taking them out i think (if i remember correctly) lowered the price 1000.

yea FH got tired too. You can go on your own and only take him back to the photographers you thought were worthy of a 2nd visit
