Need some ideas

My matron is turning 30 on Nov 24th. She isnt really taking it very well. I just got off the phone with her husband who said she's really bummed about being 30 because she wanted to have so many things done by this time and she hasnt accomplished anything. She also had a miscarriage in the beginning of the year and it hadnt really upset her until now.

I was thinking of surprising her by going down to visit her for a few days on the weekend of her birthday. But if I cant what else can I do to cheer her up for her birthday??

I think you being there for her will be enough. But what about renting her favorite movies and getting some desserts and snacks?

She lives in FL. If I cant get down to FL, I dont know if renting movies would work

Maybe you could send her a package with little fun things focusing on all that she has accomplished and all the great things that has happened for her up to this point. YOu could also send a few fun DVDs or something that would take her mind off of stuff.

Sorry I thought you were going to visit her for the weekend. My eyes still aren't working too great! what about making a basket with all pamper me products???? Or if there is somewhere that could do a reflexology for the feet?

Does she wear silver jewelry? There's nothing like a little blue Tiffany box to cheer someone up and let them know they are special!

I had two very close friends who both did not take '30' too well...and I sent both of them a Tiffany necklace to let them know that regardless of what they accomplished in their lives, their 30 years on this planet truly means alot to me. One friend got the starfish and the other got the bean. Both necklaces were around $90.

Re: Need some ideas

That was so sweet of you to do for your friends.

I'll have to ask her hubby what kind of jewelery she likes (silver or gold). I like that idea. thanks
