Need some prayers please

Much to my dismay, FH's family has decided to put to sleep his 16 year old dog.
The poor thing is slowly slipping away and cries in pain everyday. She hasn't ate, or gone to the bathroom and literally drags herself around the house b/c her back legs refuse to work. This is killing FH b/c his dogs are his life, but the desicion to do this kills him the most.

Please say some prayers as this decision is making my poor FH miserable and please say a prayer also that his poor dog lays to rest peacefully...

My prayers are with you..but they are actually doing the most humane thing. They just put FH 14 yr old German Shepard, Max down about six months ago. Same kind of situation, he was basically deteriorating before your eyes, and you know his quality of life was not what he deserved. Putting a pet to sleep is one of the hardest things I think we do in life. I still remember putting my dog down 20 years ago! She was 16...and the day we went to the vets to do it, I was hysterical when they called us in because I started thinking ,'who was I to make the decision that her life should end', but then I thought about it and I said to myself that she was suffering and the greatest thing I could do to show how much I loved her, was to let her go. I realized I was keeping her alive, suffering, because I was being selfish since it would hurt me so much to do it.
Animals are so innocent, and love you unconditionally, I really feel for you and FH, I can only say that with time, he will feel better with his decision and that he will be able to look back and remember all his happy memories with his pet.

OMG poor pooch! I just lost my cat last Friday so I know how he feels. I'm saying a prayer for all of you..
