Need some registry advice

Need some registry advice

So I know my shower invites went out, and as FH is moving into our new place I've been going to the registry to add stuff. I have 2 registries, Macy's and Williams-Sonoma

So All Clad has 5 levels of pots sets. We chose the middle one, the D5. It's about $1100 for a set. We figured that's a lot. My aunt gave me advice to break it up and register for individual pieces so people are buying one piece and no one is spending $1100. I also put it at Williams-Sonoma since I figured people shopping at W-S are more apt to spend more money since it's an upscale store.

However, so far about 10 things have disappeared from the Macy's registry and not a thing from W-S. The invites went out a week ago. I am thinking of downgrading my pots, going down to the regular stainless set, registering for the set, and moving it to Macy's, since it doesn't seem like anyone is shopping at W-S.

Is it too soon to make this decision?

What do you ladies thinK?

its not too soon to change it. do whatever you think will work out best.

for example,. i registered at macys and bloomies...one person went to bloomies as opposed to 40 at macys lol...

am i changing it? i moved everything i could onto macys, but the rest that i love, im keeping at bloomies.

if you feel some things are too $$$ put a cheaper option on as well - so they can choose what they want to spend, and in the end you can always return!

hth!

if you feel that no one will get you them, maybe pick a diff set just in case? I think ours came out to like $500 for the whole set..

I totally get what you are saying I have 4 different registries to 'appeal' to everyone. I had an amazing pots set which came out to about $550...to me I figured a few people could go in for it..but my mom told me to break it up. I guess she is right..but im the kind of person that would rather buy the entire set then each piece separately.

And I say keep both...WS is a great store and I dont necessarily classify it as 'high class'....I would leave them both for another few weeks see what happens..good luck!

We didn't register for any pots/pans for that reason - I know, personally, I wouldn't want to go to a shower and the bride only open up a pot from me. So we figured (since we already live together and have some things), that we would just get a pot set with our wedding money after all is said and done.

As far as moving items back and forth, we aren't worrying about that too much. If we get more than one silverware set, cool! It means we get a choice of what to put out while entertaining. Plus, I am like, the most indecisive person, EVER, so like this, I don't have to choose, lol!

LOL OMG! FH and I were litereally just talking about this.!! We registered at Williams-Sonoma last week and registered for both the set and the individual pieces....we were having the same dillema.

We decided we'd bring back indiviual pieces and get the set..It's cheaper to get the set...like $400 cheaper, I think....

hmm our set is on sale for 400$ at macys and if no one buys it for us we hope to buy it ourselves. I would say keep it as a set if you and FH plan on buying it if no one else does for you. If you wont buy it id register for individual pieces.

Im sure if you registered for it, someone will buy it.

Yeah this is exactly what my aunt suggested. Put it on individually. Once u get 3 pieces, it's enough to return and bring back the whole set. The set is on sale now for $700, so I actually changed it to the set, but still at W-S. I know some of my family members do chip in. I know I'd feel like a cheap *** chipping in for one pot, even though it's $200, it looks like nothing.
