So, I'm stumped. FH's mom passed away 10 years ago, and we'd like to somehow incorporate her memory into the ceremony..... I know most people light a candle for this, but our ceremony is outside by the water - so it's liable to blow out. We're doing the sand ceremony for us, for that reason.
So, can anyone think of something besides lighting a candle that we can do? Something nice and different?

HOw bout a photoframe or a collage in a frame at the top saying 'In Loving Memory' then the pics in the collage can be all of FH with his mom growing up. You would place it at the table where people pick up programs/bubbles or set it at the site where people would pick up their seating cards.
You can make collages very simple at kodakgallery.com in any size you need that will fit in a frame.

We are doing memory table. It will be set up outside with the cocktail hour. We are going to include ourgrandparents on the table

We have the same issue w/ FH's dad. We're thinking of a few things
1. Putting an announcement with in the program w/ a message and or poem.
2. Having the reverend state the ceremony is being said in his memory.
3. Placing a pic w/ other's we want to remember on a table in the foyer where the ceremony will be held.

Have FH place a red rose on the chair that she would have been sitting in were she still here. Make a mention of the symbolism in the weddign program.
