what sort of dress are you looking for in terms of style?
you can try new image or go to a site like modernbride.com.
they have a dressfinder. have you tried going to a boutique that carries bm dresses- you might get a better sense of the dress than looking from internet.
my bm dresses were the couture collection by bill pesce. i love vera wang too - and you can get good discounts on the dressses.

Go to www.amsale.com and click on bridesmaid. We ordered them for my girls and they are beautiful!! Not very 'bridesmaidsy like'!

Also- what I've found is that really you need to probably just pick your color and then take 1 or 2 of your girls to a shop that carries a wide variety of dresses- sometimes the style you like doesn't look good on your girls or the girls look good in a dress you wouldn't necessarily consider.

Here are my Vera wang - I think you said you didn't want strapless though - my girls actually picked theirs out - it is shown in black taffeta but their dress is actually navy blue taffeta - Also check out bill Levkoff and Lazaro they have some nice gowns

Lazaro had some nice ones...most of the ones I saw are taffeta.
Have you looked at Jessica McClintock? She has some nice BM dresses online but not many had sleeves - but not all were strapless!
I wore a dress by her for a bridal party I was in and it was really nice. We also ordered it straight from her shop in a mall and the dress was delivered in one week!
I think as crazy as it is in there... Check out RK bridal and check out all designers. They had the largest selection by far. You'd be surprised what's out there. I did not expect to find mine and it is made my Bill Levkoff's Champagne formals...
