We cannot find a first dance song and it is driving us crazy! We have a couple that are 'our songs' but they just don't fit for a first dance. All of the lists that I have seen so far have had like the same songs on them! Can anyone think of anything different?

My FI heard our song on the radio yesterday and he said that's perfect. Its I need you by Marc ANthony. Once you here a song, you'll know if its perfect or not.

We are dancing to Colorful by Verve Pipe.
It's a rock song, but it means something to us... and everyone who knows us will smile when they hear it.

Our songs are Don't know why by Norah Jones and the lyrics are sad. And Everlong by the Foo Fighters and even the acoustic version isn't right for slow dancing...

We chose Santana/Dave Matthews- 'Love of My Life'. We both love Dave Matthews, and this song is beautiful.
I will tell you that it took FOREVER to decide.
What kind of music do you like? Maybe we could help you find something different by one of those bands?

We're using By Your Side by Sade (which isn't nearly as original as we first thought apparently). I loved Thank You by Led Zepplin but it's a little fast...and long. But Tori Amos did a great remake of it and it's shorter and slower.

It's not too slow, but it's not fast either. It's a got a little latin feel to it. It gets fast at the end, but we're either going to cut that part out, or we're going to invite everyone up to dance with us then.
It's on the CD- 'Supernatural'.
Do a search on Amazon for Santana and the CD Supernatural. There's a place to listen to the songs on the CD and you'll find this one there.

I LOVE EVERLONG we had an instumental version played by our string musicians before our ceremony!!!
as far as first dance songs are concerned....we had a really hard time...

Something edgy that I've been considering is 'Feels Like Forever' by Joe Cocker from The Cutting edge (in case there is someone who doenst know its that ice skating movie staring db sweeney and moira kelley)
I'm addicted to listening to it in my car and its a bit rougher (i want something different for a first dance too) but i know its slow enough to sawy along with.
