Need suggestion for putting invitation/cardstock together....
For those of you who made your invitation and there were layers (more than one paper used) how did you adhere them to each other?
I am using 2 different cardstocks, so I wondered which technique is best looking? Spray or stickers, etc.
thank you!

I like spray adhesive for big projects, but for smaller paper projects like invites i would go with 'zots' or double sided tape.

I need to take a picture of my invite to show what I am trying to create.
Does spray work well on vellum too?
I don't need to make a lot, it is takes some extra time it is not a bother!

I never used spray for vellum, I don't work with vellum much. I wouldn't think it would work too well, just because of the texture of the vellum...
but I meant big projects in scale, I don't think that came across. Spray can get messy working on smaller items.

oh, ok, I gotchya
Do you know how it's recommended to attach vellum to card stock? Maybe using those sticky corner things?

I'm having the same difficulty. I'm trying to put card stock on vellum, then put the vellum on a pocketfold. I tried using gluestick, then double sided tape. I think the tape works better, must more smoother.

have you thoguht about using eyelets (think scrapbooking). You can probably get pretty ones from any craft store. Or maybe ribbon to hold them together.

Do you have a picture? By tomorrow I will be able to post a picture and maybe then I'll make sense of what I am trying.
Eyelets might work. Are they easy? I only need to make about 20 invites.

i'm not sure what to use, but definitely DON'T use glue stick. fi swore up & down that's what needed to be used on our STDs and TUs. worked great for adhering. the problem was that as they were drying they started to bend!

yeah I am totally rethinking the formate now. I know glue will not work for vellum, so now I am thinking of making a booklet/fold style.
We shall see....

I used glue stick on the borders (not in the middle), and used glue tape for other parts of the invite. It came in a dispenser like liquid paper tape and worked brilliantly.
Didn't have a problem with bending because we put all the invites under thick phone books overnight to weigh them down and make sure they were all flat.

I think I will use double sided tape. I tried glue gel and it made it wrinkle and the glue dots were a PITA.

Re: Need suggestion for putting invitation/cardstock together....
Im using 2 small silver brads. One in the top right and left corner on my invitation. My invitation is printed on the vellum with a floral cardstock underneath. So far so good. If I see in the next day or so that the vellum curls Im going to attach them on the bottem as well. Then I used the glue dots to adhere the card stock to the pocketfold.
