Our DJ told us we could do something special besides an announcement during our reception to celebrate/recognize that our wedding day is our 9 year anniversary together. I wanted to at least announce it, but I think it would be nice to do something else to... but what??? Any ideas?
What about a special dance to a song special to the two of you?
Can you incorporate it into your favors? or put pictures of your courtship around the room during your cocktail hour?
If you are printing programs, then maybe you can put a little message in there. Maybe you can put a cute little poem about how the two of you met, and then got married that day.
I like the idea of the courtship photo. I think that since that you could have the DJ say something as he annouces you such as 'Today has always been an important day to our special couple. They began to date 9 years ago today.'
My girlfriend did something really sweet in her guest book. On each page, she put a picture of her and her FH (now husband) 'through the years'...it showed how much they've grown and changed together. It was really nice.
