Need suggestions for NYC reception sites

My cousins are planning a 50th anniversary party for my godparents. They want to hold it in NYC. It needs to hold 100 people and have room for dancing. It needs to be very upscale ($200-300pp is ok). The food needs to be spectacular.

They are checking out the Rainbow Room but they have heard mixed things. Any comments?
