Need teacher help....

Need teacher help....

I'm taking an ELA class and need to do a mini unit (elementary).

We have to make a tri-fold board (colorful and interactive so the students will have things to do).

We have to do 3 lessons, one lesson on ELA one on Reading and The last whatever we would like (SS, SCI, MATH).

It can either be on a book, or a theme (maybe that includes a book for the reading portion).

I know there are some great teachers out there, any ideas???

Thanks

Betty, maybe its just me, but I'm a bit confused. What grade level? Is it an actual lesson plan? Just 1? What exactly are you looking for?

Re: Need teacher help....

Sorry .

It has to be 3 lesson plans(MINI UNIT). One I will present to the class the others I don't have to. They all have to tie in together. It can either be a theme with three lessons (1 ELA, 1 READING, 1 other subject) or a book that have three lessons lans tied to it.

It can be any elementary grade (it's for my grad school ELA class).

Does that make sense?

I don't understand how the trifold fits into it...

Re: Need teacher help....

Me NEITHER !!!!

We have to make a tri-fold board on our theme. Say, TREES we have to decorate it and have it be interactive for students to go with the unit. EX: Word search with wrods relating to trees, WHO SAID THAT velcro strips relating to trees (or to a book on trees). On each piece of the trifold we have to put an objective (ELA< READING< OTHER)

SO ANNOYING!!!!

You have to see this interactive book report I am finishing now, you would DIE

Re: Need teacher help....

OK...The sheet my teacher handed out reads...

Display boards are designed to motivate, reinforce and or present a concept or thematic unit for the purpose of comprehension and cognitive development.

Display boards MUST:
Be attractive, Stimulate interest of students, Use a variety of colors without being too busy, Provide opportunity for cognitive development, Be concise, Be interactive in that students participate with the display board either individually or in partnerships, Be self-corrective, Enable a visual connection between disciplines. Can use velcro match, electroboard, word search, flip-chutes, wrap around board. Unit must include a reading lesson, ELA lesson, and a lesson ofyour choice (ss, sci, math)

ARRRRRGGGG Thank God only one more class!!!
