Need thoughts quick please - ordering invites this morning

How do you feel about including 'Black tie welcome' on wedding invites? Not sure if I should add this wording?

I think most people write 'black tie optional'....if it's not required.

Thanks for your responses ladies....I wasn't actually asking about the wording of it, but rather if I should include it or leave it out of the invite. Do you think people will criticize me for including it and think it seems snobbish?

I don't think it sounds snobbish at all date twin!! Now I am wishing I had put that-seeing how we are doing Sun afternoon weddings I am afraid people will figure that it is very casual, which is ok but I don't want them showing up in an outfit they'd wear to the mall!! Thi sis after all my wedding regardless of the time of the affair!

I don't think it's snobbish. It does have a connotation of being a more formal event, so people will keep that in mind.

I'm good.....looking forward to my vacation next week.

I don't think you have to note the black tie option on the invite.

1. The wedding is in the evening
2. The place is super nice so they should know better
3. Greeks and Italians always dress up
4. If your family is anything like mine...you are def going to get a comment from a Thea saying 'who does she think she is'.....

How's the planning going? counting down?

that's exactly why i asked the question , but surprisingly my mom said to include it. i think that is what i am going to end up doing...i have to call the lady asap!
