Need to blow off some steam...

Okay, I`m the type of person who likes to do everything myself, and the only time I ask for help, or have others do things for me is when I REALLY need them to do it. Well, here I am with the wedding quickly approaching, and so many people are letting me down everywhere I turn. People who I was counting on for things that were important to me, things I have been asking for since the beginning of the summer .. are still not done. I know my wedding isn`t as important to others as it is to me, but when people have been discussing various plans with me for dozens of weeks on what needs to get done, and it still isn`t close to being done! UGH! I just want to quit. This isn`t just one person doing this, it`s a whole handful of them. And it just reinforces my belief .. if you want something done .. do it yourself.

Need to blow off some steam...

I'm sorry to hear that, Kel! I'm very much like you in that I do everything myself. I know I can count on my mom and sisters over the next 2 weeks since I want to finish everything! Is there anything I can do to help!? :)

Need to blow off some steam...

Kel, I felt the same way 2 weeks before my wedding. I pretty much did everything myself and decided not to sweat whatever I couldn't do. I realized after though, it totally wasn't worth driving myself crazy or the aggravation I felt. I had a great day regardless. GOOD LUCK!

Need to blow off some steam...

I felt the same way before my wedding. It stinks, and is sometimes stressful to do everything on your own, but at least you know it's being done RIGHT, and that it IS being done. Hang in there... : )

I feel the same

It is 2 weeks til my wedding and a few days ago I just totally lost it. So much to do and so little time and no help. My FH has promised that this would be a joint effort, but in the end all the work has been mine. I haven't been sleeping well because I have been doing nothing but worrying and I was waking up 5-6 times a night thinking about wedding. Well I had a good vent on my FH and had a good cry, and then finally just decided that I am only one person and I can only do so much. If something doesn't get done..oh well. Last night I went to bed at 9:30 and got the best sleep I have had in about 3 weeks. No wakeups. All you can do is your best, and try not to let it get to you. It's time to really start looking forward to your day. Good luck. I hope it all works out.
