NEED to book flowers, hair and makeup ASAP.

So, I just e-mailed Flower Michele.. Does anyone think I have a chance that they are able to do my flowers in 83 days?! I waited so long because I could not decide what I wanted and the places I looked at were not very helpful or friendly. So now here I am.. I have read MANY great things about Flower Michele, so I am hoping this will work out somehow. Now, as far as hair and makeup go.. I never did any trials, I thought I decided to go to a salon near my house... But the ones I inquired about were all either crazy expensive for just going to the salon, not even having them come to me... Or they never got back to me. So I know I am really doing this last minute, but I dont know what to do now... Do you think any of the hair/makeup people on here could still possibly have my date open?? I was thinking about e-mailing Khouloud's.. My bridal party has never given me a straight answer as to whether or not they want their hair/makeup done by whoever does mine though... I cannot afford to pay for everyone's hair and makeup, which i wish I could do.. but I just cant. Does Khouloud's need a minimum number of people or anything? Sorry this is so long, I will stop rambling now. Thanks girls!

What are you considering crazy expensive for hair and makeup? I have a big problem paying a lot for makeup. I have 2 contacts I can give you one was an 06 bride - jtgarsik. I haven't worked with either of them yet, but just people that might be available for you. If not, a salon might be the best way to go since most of the time they are cheaper than people coming to you.

If Flower michele doesn't work out, I recommend LA Blossom. My flower budget was REALLY low and she was the only one that really embraced the challenged...and kept throwing ideas at me.

And for hair, try Stacy Pitt . Her prices are VERY reasonable and she does really great work. She spent two hours with my during my trial and tried almost 10 hairstyles until we found one we liked. (and only charged me the price of one trial).

i dont see why any florist wouldnt be able to do it for you. theres still pleanty of time. Did you call burton? they are really nice there.

as for make up, i cant really help you. i myself havent made that decision yet either. good luck

i think she'll go out there...but you may have to pay extra for transportation. Try emailing her to see. Since it's a winter wedding, she might be willing to travel farther. Actually, I remember one of the 07 brides used her (can't remember which one, sorry)...so I think she does travel to LI.

I used Sachiko Yanase for hair and makeup. She did both for me, MOG, and MOB, and hair only for the BMs. I was really happy with her work and so was everyone else, including my picky mom! I booked her relatively close (less than 6 mos.) from my date, as well. FM me for more info if you like.

FYI, I had a pretty good experience with Flower Michele as well.

Try posting in the Vendors Helping Brides Forum about the hair and makeup and even the florist. Include your wedding date and time you need to be ready by. I did that and a lot of the vendors on here who were available, contacted me through FM.

I used this store in Hicksville, Aladdin...for our engagement.....they gave us a bunch of full bloom orange roses...exactly what we asked for. I've never seen their work for centerpieces or anything, but I do have an appointment with them on Saturday. The guy we worked with is super nice and the price was reasonable, so if you are in a bind and want info, FM me and maybe you can meet with them to see what they can do.

Khoulouds doesnt have a min. so if your girls dont want hair and makeup done, just you can get it done. Definitely email Kacey. You still have time for a trial too.

As for flowers, as long as FM has room for your flowers i their schedule, im sure they can do it. Its not too late for flowers really...they probably dont need to order them until much later anyway.
