I am trying to plan an affordable wedding, but it doesnt seem like it will happen. I tried to get some Friday nights avaible at the Riviera no Fridays available so I have to keep looking. I am planning to get married summer 07 and hate all this planning. Dont get me wrong it is exciting but I want to book my hall already. AHAHAH . I want a reception over looking the water, fh wants to get married on beach. So fustrating. maybe I need a planner.

September is just as nice as the summer that is what we orignally wanted but we were forced to move the date up to july

Take a look at Timber Point Country Club in Great River if you're on a tight budget. It's on a golf course and just beyond that is the water. It was really nice and very affordable!

I am planning an aoffrdable wedding! it is possible! Try for the winter months... MUCH cheaper. ALso a Saturday afternoon over a Fri. or Sat. night.
Affordable Halls: Stewart Manor Country Club (no water views, but very affordabel and the food is great... that's where I'm havign mine!) Coral House (looks over pond) Windows on the Lake (over Lake Ronkonkama)

Tall Grass CC in Shoreham...they are only about $65 pp in the summer, and cheaper in the fall/winter months. Rose ball centerpieces are includied as well as the cake and the usual CH/4 hr Reception. The lady who works there is really sweet. It is a good place for a smaller wedding (about 135)

Have you given up on a Thursday If not, sea2ny had her wedding on 8/18/05 (a Thursday) at the Riviera and may be able to give you some tips.
ETA - I know that they had lots of OOT guests so a Thursday worked better for them.

I went with the Coral House and Linda really worked with our budget. It is a pretty place and she gave us a lot for our money. FM me if you want more info.

our wedding was at the coral house and we feel that they did a great job. the pond is great for pics and the prices were great!

Check Venetian Yacht Club. They just remodeled and it is SO nice! We are getting married there on a Friday night next month and it was comparable to CLM prices ($10) pp more.
Personally, we went to CLM, then right over to Venetian and looked at both. You can see both options that way as CLM is right on the water and Venetian is on the water but no beach area around.
It's only about a 10 mintue ride between the 2 places so I would suggest seeing both so FH can see the differences.

Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue was AMAZING to us and you'll never believe the price!!! I never thought I'd afford a LI wedding and would have to get married back home. I'm so glad we did it there!!!
