I just went thru this and ended up with Canon i950--on the high en $249 but worth every penny-- I have already printed over 75 4x6 borderless prints and the quality is on par with shutterfly!!! Check it out Canon i950

If you want to do photos, definitely get a borderless printer. Cannons are supposed to make the best pritns but HPs are supposed to be less likely to break down.

If I were you I would purchase a printer made by HP. Stay away from Lexmark.

I bought a canon printer over the holidays and I LOVE it. Its compatible with my canon digital, so it works well, it was not expensive. I also know that epson photo printers are great!! Have fun!

I bought mine from best buy, where they ofer an extended warranty..which I purchased..os if anything goes wrong, its safe!

juat bought the same one as charliegirl and I love it - it scans, prints and copies and i think the prints are very good quality and the ink last longer that cannon ink even though it is more expensive.

My DH bought me a new printer/copier/scanner/fax machine for Christmas. It prints out photos very nicely.
It's a HP 2210. It was about $300 (worth every penny so far!).
