need to find my hubby a new job

Hello all,
Well let me take you back a year ago this week and then I will get into what happened last night,
My husband worked for fed ex for 11 years, one year ago this week his truck was robbed and because he couldn't prove it wasn't him he was fired.. 11 years down the drain, there was a appeals and everything but appently they were getting rid of all the top salies, so it was an excuse.. Very devasting especially w/ our future..
Ok so now he has been working w/ a friend for a bread route. His truck was stollen last night , he is ok and they got the truck back but are you kidding me..

SO if any of you hear of any kind of jobs out there please let me know.. even teachers assistants..

I'm so so so so sorry to hear that. Would he be interested in homecare of the sick and elderly? There is a great need for male home health aides on the long island. Or he could get his CNA and work in a nursing home. Or he could be a DSI because he has a clean license and take care of the disabled.
Or school bus driver, I hear the make a good money.

I am sorry to here about your FH. I think everything happens for a reason and he will get something great soon.

Kristen,

He could look into being a mental health therapy aide for the state. I don't know how much it pays, but the pension and benefits are good.

That's just terrible. So sorry to hear about that.

Look into craigslist.org - they have a lot of jobs listed and quick to hire.

That is so awful - in Oct my FH got laid off and it was devastating...

check out school district websites - they are always looking for assistants...

Also - North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health system - www.nslij.com - they are always needing people - they will train him for whatever he is looking for - excellent benefits and vacations!

I work for them - let me know what I can do - I can give you HR's numbers... FM me if you need help...
