I am looking to make money on the side of my full time job. Right now I do car detailing on the weekends but as soon as it gets cold, I cannot do this anymore.
I was looking on a few job sites and I saw a few ads for those work at home jobs. Do you think these are legit? The one I was looking at is for stuffing envelopes at home....I know it sounds boring but I need to save for the wedding....
Thanks for your help.
I am also looking for a full time job if anyone knows of anything in the Marketing field....or anything in the business field that revolves around computers.

I think it totally depends on what you are looking for. You could always check the part time section of sundays paper to see if anything fits your schedule. there are always office ones I see part time, although it might not be in the field you are looking for.

I've never done it b/c I don't think I'd be very good, but alot of people say waitressing is really good $$$$ if you don't mind working weekends.

are you handy? dh just started contracting work on the side and it pays very well. people are always looking for carpenter's helpers and handymen. sunday's newsday is always filled with those types of wanted ads.

Re: Need to Make money on the side....
I am a very fast learner which is really good. I love to Paint and do little work around the house. I actually painted my whole apartment....I think i watch too much trading spaces and while you were out.
Other than that, I love working on cars....cleaning them that is. I have had my own business since 1988....on the side from April to November. I am closed during the winter.

Re: Need to Make money on the side....
being that you are a fast learner.. i would def look into a carpenter's helper postion and talk yourself up. people are always looking for these and yo don't necessarily have to be licensed to start.

Re: Need to Make money on the side....
Good question. I was actually wondering how easy it would be to be a 'computer caligrapher'. All you really need to do is buy the appropriate software and have a printer that feeds envelopes, right? That might be something. I may look into it more myself.

I only have a black and white laser jet printer so i guess that job is out of the question for me

Re: Need to Make money on the side....
Hmm, not necessarily - not if the invites will be done in black (aren't most done that way, with some choosing color)? Or, if it's really important to you, maybe you could get a color printer as a 'start up expense' that would pay itself off later. Just a thought...

Re: Need to Make money on the side....
Honestly, I have no clue yet; I haven't looked into it yet. Right, you might want to check BBB, although (most likely if you want to advertise). Again, not too sure. I just saw that a lot of the caligraphers that work from home make a lot of money by doing bride's envelopes. Just a thought of something to look into. If I find out anything first, I'll let you know.
