Need to skimcoat the walls in our kitchen...any recommendations?

We tried removing the wallpaper and ended up really scraping up the walls so we need to have someone skimcoat them to fix it. Does anyone have any recommendations? We have no idea who to call.

Call a contractor and maybe they can recommend someone.
My FH works in the construction industry and one of the union guys came afterwork and did it for us for a small price.
He did a really great job (walls were perfect after) but I don't think I would recommend him if he doesn't have an actual business you know. If FH didn't know the guy, I would have wanted someone who was liable for his actions.
