need to talk about DUVAL in Wantagh

ok, me again, talking about my photographer! I just got back from the meeting with Joel, the owner, where I picked out my proofs for the album, my thank-yous, reprints and all that. I am sure you will remember how upset I was with them because of my photographer. I think I also posted that he had been fired. Joel told me that when he spoke to him about what happened at my wedding, he got a bad vibe off of him, didn't like his attitude and fired him. Joel did his best to help me put together an album that I would be happy with - and being there I remembered why I booked in the first place. Both he and Glenn, who I originally signed my contract with, are good people who try hard to make their clients happy - I really do believe that their photographers in general are very good, judging by the numerous albums I looked at in the studio. My photographer himself was the problem, not the company - and they have rectified that by getting rid of him. I just wanted to write this, because I know I have been quite 'verbal' about how unhappy I was - and I would hate to see this company lose any potential customers because of me - ie I shouldn't have let one bad apple ruin the whole basket or however that saying goes. They also did my video, which I will be getting in about 10 days, I will post when I get that, as well as when I get my album, although that will be about 3 months from now. Thanks for listening!

I am glad you came away from the meeting with such a positive feeling. I know how upset you were. All the best it will all be well in the end. Did you ask your photographer if there are some shots from the video that you like, if you could get them printed?? I know that is possible sometimes

yes, I did. If you remember one of my many complaints about him was that I had gone throught the trouble of having my DH's volunteer fire company bring a fire truck down to the church to surprise him. They did, and he was so excited! The photographer refused to take our picture in front of it bc he was getting wet (??) - it had been raining for DAYS, much enough time to gather up an umbrella or two - but the video guy got footage of it, and they are going to try to take a still from it. Yes, that pic is on my fridge. I swear, that is the look that man had on his face all day, I wanted to smack him!!

I am not using Duval, but I just wanted to say that that was a great thing you did by posting this. I think you made a lot of bride to be's VERY happy!

I'm glad Duval had compensated for you for your experience with that photographer!

I just booked Duval as my photographer and after reading these postings I got very nervous that I had made a mistake, but after reading this, I feel a little better. I am going to make sure that Roy and Andy are not shooting my wedding. I already asked Joel to shoot that day beacause he was referred to us. I think that it was mentioned that Andy was fired? Glad to hear that they got rid of the 'bad seed'.
I am praying that it all goes smoothly with Duval.
