I picked up our invitations yesterday and told my FI over the phone I got them. When he came in I mentioned that again becasue he didn't ask to see them. I showed him a sample (one I had but hate) as a joke, he said they are nice but when he opened it he realized it was not ours. AND still didn't ask to see ours. Then a little while later he says I am a guy you know I don't care (basically whatever I pick is fine). I new he didn't want to be involved with planning, which I actually liked because this way I get what I want and he can't say anything BUT I am annoyed that he still hasn't asked to see the invites. Does anyone else have this problem that FI isn't that involved with the planning? He did come to the reception hall with me but other than that it has been all me.

I'd be kind of annoyed too. I mean it's OUR wedding. come look at OUR invites. but my Fh is kid of the same way. Seriously a lot of guys ahve no aptitute for this stuff and it could be green and purple polka dots and they wouldn;t be able to tell the diff between that and a nice invite, so... don't be too hard on him

mine is involved. we like to count the days together. he wants to deal with the music. the only thing he didn't care for much was the registry. that's ok...i think its a guy thing

Mine doesn't even want to hear about the wedding. For the longest time he kept saying that it was so far away, and that it shouldn't take more than 45mins to plan. I took him out to look at flowers once, he wasn't even interested. I took him ring shopping and he looked like he was going to pass out. He told me he trust my judgement. So I threatened to have him wear a pink bunny suit. LOL that got his attention. he still doesn't know what he wants to wear for the wedding.

I have sympathy for you! Mine was not interested either (except for the music) until I started showing him stuff I did. IE: I ordered the invites, put them together and then showed them to him (he didn't ask either). When he saw them all of a sudden he was interested in them. Loved them and talks about them all the time! Wierd... BUt don't feel bad!

Mine is the same way, he has no interest in the wedding planning!!! I really gets frustrating!! At one point he told me he wants an invitation just like everyone else!!! MEN!!!

Yes! My FH is the SAME WAY! Saying 'I don't care.' Then elaborates saying 'I don't care about the details' Then when I tell him about something, he critizes it! Hello!?!? I thought you didn't care!!! UGH!!! Men! It frustrates me terribly, but I still ove him.
