I am having sooo many problems with a seating chart!!! I cant figure out how to do it! Im not so good with the computer so Im having trouble. AAAHHHHHHH!! I really wanna do it though so I am determined to figure it out! Thanks ladies, i just wanted to get that off my chest!

I figured I was going to have 12 tables.
I took 12 sheets of paper (initially) and just numbered them 1-12.
Then started placing people at the tables until they got full.
some tables I had to re-work 3-4x..
But my method worked well.
then when that was done, I took those 12 tables and did the positioning around the dance floor.
I wouldn't do positioning and seating at the same time.
Group people first, then position.

I wasn't even aware that they're computerized now! In a valiant effort to avoid this impending doom, we're probably gonna tell our parents that when they give us their guest list, they should also bracket in tables for them. We certainly don't wanna have to deal with that for their guests, it's bad enough we'll need to do it for our guests!
If my parents take care of their guests, and my fiance's parents take care of their guests, we'll hopefully be able to manage ours...

i don't have to worry about this because 95% of the wedding will be FH family and his mother will be doing the seating chart. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about like a floor plan of the room with the tables arranged ?
If so, my RH provided me with that. All I'm going to have to do is number the tables & figure out who goes where..

I'm doing mine on wedding wire at first to see if that works. The paper one seems like a good idea. I'm not starting though until the last possible moment. I work well under pressure

We organized our Invite list by group (ie, work friends are all together, college friends all together, mom's sisters today, etc) so that when it is time to put tables together we will try to go 'in order'
