Need to VENT about GM / FBIL
Sorry if this is a bit long, but I need to vent.....And please, feel free to share your feelings on the matter.
I know my BMs are planning an awesome BP for me for - Lucky Chang's in NYC! So my FI makes the comment that he doesn't think he'll end up having one, because his 4 GM won't plan anything (btw he has 2 brothers, one of which is the BM - but both of them should plan it, cause the remaining 2 GM live further away). Now, FH is more lowkey then I, he wouldn't want anything big - and he says he doesn't care if he has one or not, but really, every guy should experience some sort of BP right? I mean, his GM should put some effort into this!
SO - I text both of my FSILs, and tell them that he doesn't know I'm asking, but do they know if anything is being planned for him. Backstory - his BM is just like him, more lowkey etc - his other brother is insane and always needs to do stuff 'big'. So that brother's wife, says that they don't have anything planned, but she's going to get on their case and get something done. The other brother's wife (BM) says that the other brother has come up with these ridiculous ideas that BM has ignored - but she's sure something is in the works.
OK - so, FH comes home last night and says 'so I heard you asked if I'm having a BP?' Stupid non-BM brother went and told him this, then says 'well I've talked to (BM) and he doesn't have anything planned. We could go down to AC or Vegas (both of which FH said no to)....... But, well you can't take off of work during the week, so I don't know what we can do.
(Backstory there - they all work in TV, on a crew. FH has a steady Mon-Fri gig, his brothers do more sports and usually work games on the weekends.)
I was furious! IT's like - this is YOUR brother (mind you, the only one who's FIRST wedding (and only) this is. Both brother's are on their 2nd) Put some thought into it, take a weekend OFF, and throw him a party! Even if it's just hanging out at a bar, right?
Ugh, it was just aggravating. He says not to worry about it, it's the way they are...he doesn't care, but I know deep down he does. I think I'm going to keep inquiring with BM brother, because I think he'll end up doing something for him, it's just stupid brother #2 - nonBM - that pisses me off.
